Version 1.25 of Bru’n Water is now available. This free version includes selectable US units and SI (metric) units.  Check out the additional capabilities of Supporter version 5.5 here.

Enhancements include:

  1. Version 1.25 includes refinements in the pH prediction that are aimed to improve predictions when thin water/grist ratios are used and corrects an error looping problem.

  2. Also includes a refined handling of baking soda alkalinity contributions.

  3. A Simplified User Interface that is closer to the interface used in the Supporter's version.

  4. User selectable US and SI unit settings.

  5. Form controls have been deleted from the program which should enable the program to work on more computer platforms. There are no Macros in the program.

  6. Further expanded Instructions and Water Knowledge sections.

  7. Improved Roast Grain acidity calculation and mash pH prediction.

  8. Version 1.25 is saved in .xlsx format to assure that no Macros are present in the sheet.

Get the Supporter's Version

The Supporter’s version of Bru’n Water provides you with many more useful features for managing and adjusting your brewing water. Review those features here. Excel is required to get the enhanced functionality of the Data Manager in Bru’n Water. Bru’n Water does operate under LibreOffice, but the Data Manager won’t function.

A customized file will be emailed to you in a few days.  Be sure to include your name when making a donation since the customized version will include it. Supporters will receive their copy of a personalized Bru'n Water program sent to the email address provided with their donation. To help prevent some email providers from arbitrarily blocking email spreadsheet attachments, Bru'n Water files are now sent to Supporters with a .dat extension instead of .xls. The file must be renamed with a .xls extension by the user. 

Please use an email that is permanent — not a school or work email that could cease to exist. Supporter’s can expect future contact from Bru’n Water.
